March 2016 Newsletter
As I mentioned in my February newsletter, the vocational school (workshop) is progressing. The septic hole has been dug and the pipe laid. The two bathrooms do not have a flush toilet as we in the states know it, but a flush ceramic pit latrine is better than just a hole in the ground !!!
Next is the need for machinery in the workshop part. Where will we get them and how to transport table saws, jigsaws, drills, welding machines, etc.?
The rains continue so I took some of my garden pictures to this website (note below). I find flowers that I never planted in my huge gardens….must be the birds as the carriers. In the back of my house I have many vegetables growing; Swiss chard, carrots, cabbage, figuri, machicha and more.
The children are doing well, growing fast. Two of them will graduate this fall from elementary school and go on to a boarding secondary school, probably in Mbeya.
Please keep in mind our need for machinery for the workshop. If you have any ideas, please contact me.
Blessings to all,
